Why I Support Senator Obama Over Clinton.

by Jean-Pierre Ady Fenyo, Philosopher.

Senator Hillary Clinton may yet become our first Lady President, and even Senator Barack Obama would encourage us to vote for her, if she won all the Primaries, but I have taken the trouble to make a thorough comparison of the two front-runner Democratic Party Primary candidates and here is what I have found:

1. Experience. The one most powerful argument, many say, that Senator Clinton and her supporters have in her favor is that she has more experience in governing than her opponents. Well, is that really true? I think the evidence shows that this is actually not the truth. Experience?!? Senator Barack Obama does not have as much Washington-based political and government experience as Senator Clinton does, but what do we mean by 'experience'? Do we mean by experience that someone has been taught to behave according to the status-quo power elite? In that case it is wonderful that Senator Barack Obama does not have that kind of NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE. But if by experience we mean actual hands-on people experience, honest social and political activism and down-to-earth governance; then Obama has infinitely more experience!!! And in those areas where Senator Obama lacks direct experience he has shown that he has enough 'good and useful experience' to know better than to assume, as both Bush and Clinton do, that he knows everything that matters and does not need to seek and listen to the counsel of others! Senator Barack Obama has the wisdom to LISTEN to others, even to people who are not part of the 'experienced' political elite! So, as far as I am concerned Senator Barack Obama is more positively experienced than Senator Clinton. Obama wins on POSITIVE EXPERIENCE!

2. Domestic Agenda. In terms of the domestic agenda both candidates, both Senator Clinton and Senator Obama, share many things in common. And Senator Clinton is a bit better at working with organized labor's leadership...for now. But the misperception that Senator Obama is anti-labor, anti-union, is absolute nonsense! Yes, Obama has had to face a few questionable and even corrupt officials, but all in all Senator Barack Obama is all for strengthening the rights of organized labor union members, for improving conditions and wages for working class Americans and doing so without harming the ability of American businesses to survive and remain competitive on the world markets. Actually it was President Bill Clinton who made it easier for big business to disrespect the rights of working class Americans, and Bush just managed to exploit those bad laws to do even more damage and harm organized labor and the rights of workers to expect fair wages and decent workig conditions! But when it comes to uniting America, and to improving relations between all American communities, to strengthening respect for minorities of all types and for the basic principle of UNITY-IN-DIVERSITY; Senator Barack Obama has an INFINITE advantage over Senator Clinton! Senator Barack Obama is going to give millions of young Americans, especially minorities, proof that they too can benefit from participating in their democracy and that the Presidency is open to all Americans who qualify by factor of their specific ideas and solutions and by factor of ethnicity, so-called race, sexual identity or whatever! Senator Clinton has been, is, and will be perceived as TOO DIVISIVE for most Americans and will not be able to heal the nation and unite the country, especially at a time when our country is facing real threats! Senator Obama's ideas for solving the nation's healthcare and health insurance crises are actually more realistic and better for America than those of Senator Clinton. Her ideas will inadvertently do much more harm than good. In general Senator Obama wants to insure adequate health-care to those whose incomes are just not enough, which means over 40% of Americans, while leaving those who can afford to get adequate insurance and care to fend for themselves. Senator Clinton would actually wreck almost all private health care in America and would mean an even greater windfall for the pill-popping pharmaceuticals. Senator Obama would only seek to have government interven in those areas and for those people whose situation would otherwise be truly tragic, in effect those who cannot afford the same kind of healthcare and insurance that Senators are entitled too! Selective assistance (Obama's plans) versus gigantic ineffective beaurocracy (Clinton's plan). Senator Clinton would do little to nothing to undo the negative, intrusive and un-Constitutional eavesdropping and fear-mongering, police state situation we have right now! So, Obama is much better for our domestic in so many ways! OBAMA WINS ON DOMESTIC POLICY!

3. Foreign Policy. Senator Clinton will do pretty well on foreign policy in the first year, but she will not be able to convince the world that America is sincere about undoing the great harm the Bush Administration has done, and by her second year the world will be back to the same old situation. Senator Barack Obama is a God-send, for he will be a mix of incredibly powerful and positive diplomacy on the one hand and a willingness to really go after the real enemies of America and the world, one and the same, the terrorist, no matter what type! He will be able to encourage moderate and progressive Arabs, as well as Muslims elsewhere, that America is no longer in the hands of crazy people who were seeking to create an eternal war between civilizations! He will motivate relatively moderate Muslim nations to work with America against all terrorists! Senator Clinton cannot begin to compete on this level with Senator Obama! Sure, her husband President Clinton, is much liked by many in the world who otherwise no longer trust the United States, but even he cannot beat Senator Barack Obama's ability to convince the world that America is open for fair trade, honest business, peace-building and prosperity generation!
Obama wins big on FOREIGN POLICY!

4. Character. Senator Obama is a very confident, calm-headed gentleman (similar to Senator Joe Biden) and he is also VERY VERY human! Senator Clinton, though she seems to mean well, has shown over and over again that she is willing to behave in a way that is so unbecoming of her status, as if she had a right to be President! The way the Clintons have attacked Senator Obama has actually shocked many Democrats, and even more Indepedents! After what she and Bill did to Obama in New Hampshire polls show many of those the Clinton's like to show-off as their supporters are having a change of heart! On character Obama wins significantly!

5. Electability. Senator Clinton is very risky, as she is unable to attract independent and swing voters the way Senator Barack Obama can! Yes, Senator Barack Obama is very much liked by most Americans who truly understand how much trouble our country is in! Hillary is not even liked by all Democrats!

The opportunists, the corrupt mass media pundits who serve the status-quo elite will try to convince you that Senator Barack Obama is not ready...BUT MOST AMERICANS WILL NO LONGER LISTEN TO ALL THOSE LIES!

Now, you decide! Because YES YOU CAN make a real difference!
